Why are metric units important?

Metric units (centimeters and meters, grams and kilograms, etc) are the main units of measurement for almost the entire world -- the only three countries that haven't adopted metrics as their primary units are the United States, Liberia, and Myanmar! Knowing your metric units is even more critical if you're a scientist -- in 1999, NASA lost its $125 million Mars Climate Orbiter because one team was using metric units and the other wasn't. CSM can not only teach you the conversion factors you need, it can also give you an intuitive sense of what the units mean.

Take the CSM Course to learn how to do problems like this and build your High Performance skills (like persistence, self-reliance, and problem-solving).

When you complete the CSM Course, you'll earn your CSM Certificate to show employers that you have what it takes!
